On a cold, rainy day, I stopped here to grab a cup of Mission hot chocolate. It was delicious. The drink had a smooth texture with a mildly spicy aroma. It was full of chocolate flavor, unlike some other hot chocolates that taste like watered down chocolate. Each sip transported me to a quiet, calm, and relaxing chocolate world. And I haven't even tried their actual chocolates yet.

Learned about Kokak Chocolates from my boss. Many of the truffles and chocolates focus on tropical and Asian flavors. They also have hot chocolate and champorado. I had their classic champorado today as a rainy day treat. It was delicious! It was chocolaty and thick. I liked the coconut and these crispies that added a nice texture. The portion was just right. It looks small at first but the rice is filling. Any bigger and I would've been stuffed. I've had their hot chocolate and truffles before and they're so yummy! The truffles are a lot of flavor in a bite. The space has bar seating and a few tables. And everyone there is so nice! Definitely check this place out for delicious chocolates for yourself and as gifts.

I have been following Kokak Chocolates on Instagram for months now and I have been planning to visit them but since I live in Concord and with my inconsistent schedule, it took me some time before I do. Luckily, i found the time to visit them 2 weeks ago and I'm so happy I made the trip! Their cute, little store in Castro is so charming and the ambience is so inviting! I was greeted by Cody, their store associate and as we are both Pinoys (Filipinos), we instantly had a good convo all throughout! He helped with the flavors and I love that he knows the truffle flavors just by looking at the designs. I chose the uniqe flavored ones such as the Kalamnsi, Earl Grey, Guava and Banana Caramel. As someone who has tried and eaten different kinds of chocolate, this REALLY hits the spot! My fave was the Kalamansi and Guava, i love the combination of tart flavors to the chocolate I also got their Umami White Chocolate Bar which has a nice kick to it! Cody also gave me some samples of the Dried Mango and Banana dipped in chocolate All in all, it was such a fun and great experience. I would totally come back and try more of their goodies!

I've been wanting to try kokak for awhile now and I'm happy to have the chance to! They have a small selection of drinks and cookies/desserts to choose from and they make everything in house. They must be known for their chocolates and the assortments you can choose or preselected in a box. Perfect for gifts. They have lots of Filipino inspired desserts. The person working was super nice and knowledgeable. He made me feel very much welcomed and explained everything to me! We chatted a bit before I had to leave. Would come again!

I went in for some hot chocolate and thankfully wasn't busy. It's not a huge space but does have some seating. I got the European sipping hot chocolate and enjoyed it. It was rich and good flavor. The chocolate was beautiful. They had bars and boxes and their small truffles with unique flavors and designs. They offered a small sample of the umami chocolate and was unique and tasted great. I loved the bit of crunch in it. I didn't get any chocolates and felt slightly over priced but was really stopping in for the hot chocolate anyway. Everyone was really friendly and kind and I'd go back again.

These artisan chocolates are adorable. I had the Lucky Nine boxed chocolates, which comes with nine truffles of assorted flavours. The outer coating tasted a little waxy, which was strange. However, I enjoyed the inner filling of the chocolates. These are fancy chocolates, so the price is steep. I will say this helps me with self control in eating these chocolates as I make sure to savour each one.

Incredible hot chocolate!!! Super rich and velvety smooth. We had the dark chocolate variety which was sweet and super chocolately. It's also dairy free - just chocolate and hot water. The best hot chocolate I've had was in Italy, with Dandelion's european hot chocolate coming pretty close, but this is an extremely good contender that feels just as rich but not too extremely thick. It's bigger portion than the others, so it lasts you a good while so it's quite cozy to walk around castro with a nice hot chocolate. Unclassy note but with the leftovers, I made mocha at home and it was still so good. The sweetest woman is behind the counter. She even offered up samples of what there were cooking (calamansi cookies!) which were heavenly! They have a lot of yummy looking treats, truffles, and even ramen inspired umami chocolate whoa.
